The Anti-TBR Tag
A popular book EVERYONE loves that you have no interest in reading?

Twlight ( https://amzn.to/32ARHRW )... well I know that not everyone loves it, but I think it's popular enough to count. I'm not into vampires or romance and Twilight just doesn't have anything to interest me.
A classic book/author you don’t have an interest in reading?
Louisa May Alcott, Little Women ( https://amzn.to/32x415T ) was painful for me to read. Any of these character driven time pieces that creep along at a slow pace just aren't for me. If I'm going to read something that slow paced it will be Joseph Conrad.
And if marriage (or escaping getting marriage) is the main goal of the characters you can count me out.
An author whose books you have no interest in reading?

Martha Wells. I see the Murderbot ( https://amzn.to/3grzJJV ) books all over booktwitter, but they just don't interest me at all.
An author you have read a couple of books from and have decided their books are not for you?
Gentry Lee ( https://www.goodreads.com/author/show/65129.Gentry_Lee). Rama was a classic then Gentry Lee got involved and it all went down hill. I read the Rama series but have no interest in going back and reading all the books that he's written in-between the regular ones.
A genre you have no interest in OR a genre you tried to get into and couldn’t?

Romance/ Erotica. I have no, zero, zilch, nada interest in other peoples sex lives. I don't want to read that, esp. not in any detail.
A book you have bought but will never read?
Never seems like a really long time. I like to think that if I bought a book I will eventually get around to reading it. However books I have been given are another thing.
I may have kept the Rush Limbaugh books on the TBR shelf for a couple of years after being given them by my grandparents, but eventually they went to the second hand store.
A series you have no interest in reading/DNF’d?
The Air Awakens ( https://amzn.to/2QOE13m ), I got the whole series then only read the first two books. I'm a sucker for elemental fantasy, so you would have thought this would be right up my alley. However I found it too romance heavy (and unbelievable too) and too cliché.
So I DNF'd the series.
A new release you have no interest in reading?

Ready Player Two ( https://amzn.to/3n5eizE ), Ready Player One was okay for it's nostalgia and Easter Egg hunting. Portal novels aren't my thing and I don't think I'm ready for another one so soon.
