Here's why you should be very scared of the second wave/rush for vaccination even if you had covid last year (like I did).

Caveat: I haven't actually been able to get a test for me yet. So I either have Covid, or.. uh.. new pandemic folks.

Everyone in my family in our house now has Covid. Where did we get it? When they say *This strain is virulent* == anywhere

This spread from 1 to 3 members within a week, even with ample social distancing, double masks (we only got the Chernobyl mask for my grandmother).

The first of us to get Covid had a mild case. He had been vaccinated 2 weeks back. Very mild case, a 99-100ish fever that came and fell, with School topper level O2 levels.
Then my grandmother got it. O2 levels at 90 and falling. We had to get an O2 Concentrator bc no beds.

My family had at least 1 shot of the vaccine. Their cases are mild.
Vaccines Work!
Then I got it. And this shit is bad. This came on in fast and completely different symptoms. Dengue-body-ache, high fever, Cough and weakness. Man the weakness is bad. O2 still high. Go figure

Don't let your guard down. Get a vaccine. Please! They work!
With UC Brahmin privilege , daisy-buchanan-level-wealth and House-MD-Per-Capita-Doctors in the family, we were fucked.
If we didn't have this, my Grandmother'd be dead.

Get a Vaccine when you can! Stay safe!

And start talking to anyone you meet about increasing the Health Budget to anyone you meet! That's the only way we prevent this scale of tragedy from happening again. This is a system problem not an individual problem.
