Literally trying to decide who is and isn’t allowed to be a part of the Pokémon Hobby is indeed Gatekeeping. Not welcoming everyone to a hobby is gatekeeping. As long as they aren’t doing anything unethical or unlawful then you are fine to be a part of the Pokemon hobby

Just because someone doesn’t collect the way you do doesn’t mean you can dictate what is and isn’t acceptable. People can partake in the Pokémon hobby to any capacity they want.

If it’s all about money then that’s fine, if it’s about investing then great we welcome you, if you are simply here to just collect then awesome we appreciate you, if you play the video games or the TCG then that’s even better.
