I took a scriptwriting course at George Brown college in Toronto where the showrunner was one of the profs. He disparaged all of my ideas, bragged about how he made all his protagonists women, kept trying to bum $20 off the students and fucking died after the first semester https://twitter.com/TransSalamander/status/1384878384287674368
He was particularly proud of Angela Anaconda because it allowed him to get into animation despite the fact that he couldn't draw
I mention the women protagonists thing because he presented it like a life hack? He was like "how do I make my characters more interesting? First step, I make them women." which is...odd? I dunno, maybe I'm a purist but the way it was presented struck me as shallow
The thread continues here. I've muted it but I got some details wrong in the initial bit and I kind of lose my mind a bit? The story is more banal than I remember it but learning how was wild https://twitter.com/Demi_theynd/status/1384950442111774733
