2/The paper says "The IRB of University of Minnesota reviewed the procedures of the experiment and determined that this is not human research."
3/This project involved deception of unconsented and unknowing human subjects to see how they would react. I respectfully disagree that this is not human research.

@UMNresearch should investigate and publicly report on how and why it determined this is "not human research".
4/Once again, I am stunned by how many of the most banal, harmless surveys I am emailed seem to require IRB approval while stuff like this is deemed exempt.
