When ever i remember that the personality of a leader enormously influences and invariably shapes the foreign policy of a country in the realm of international politics, and with buhari as our President genuinely breaks my heart.
The man who is supposed to carry our national interests across for the betterment of Nigeria is a man who is battling with old age, reflection and hubris.
With such person as our president, nobody will take Nigeria serious, not even the tiniest countries.
With such person as our president, nobody will take Nigeria serious, not even the tiniest countries.
Our national interests will no be heard and taken serious, our foreign policy will lack depth and magnitude. The immense and immeasurable respect other countries used to have for Nigeria will continue to deteriorate.
And it is not even a coincidence today that Nigeria is losing many huge upportunities, especially the ones that will lift it's citizens's out of poverty, and generally increase the country's prestige internationally.
It is not also farfetched that business conglomerates invest an enormous amout of resources in other African countries other than Nigeria which will bring about economic growth and expansion in those countries,
An investment that would have been made in Nigeria if our president is a staunch believer and advocate of good governance as he so claimed, or at least what people thought of him to be.
Therefore, the resultant effects as to Nigeria's irreverence as a player in the international system caused mostly by our leader's personality has made Nigeria very dangerous and volatile, becoming one of the most precarious places to be in the world.
Also the poverty capital of the world as social and economic classes widens stupendously.
Inability to crush any tiny threats which has sprung into well-organized and sophisticated internal threats.
Inability to crush any tiny threats which has sprung into well-organized and sophisticated internal threats.
Which, together with the effect before this, left the foreign investors we have with no choice but to pack up their activities as it is no longer safe and conducive for their businesses to thrive.
This also widens the unemployment gap and by extension increases poverty level in the country, because foreign investment in its naturality provides job opportunities in the host countries.
We cannot also overlook the fact that Nigerians are becoming more and more aggressive and furious because of frustration and indignation caused by excessive poverty. A situation that could have been avoided if the president was good.
These and many other effects that I've not mentioned in this thread are caused by our president's inaptitude to govern the country in good faith.
I hope we learn from our mistakes and vote wisely come 2023.

I will also write a thread about how his personality destroyed Nigeria internally.
