Coming from someone who is {literally} in the works of joining the police department:

I agree with the “defund the police” sentiment. Defund does NOT mean no more police. It just cuts the over gross funding, when it’s clearly not being utilized in ways that benefit the community

Defund the police ≠ cutting salaries. It means cutting the funds for the unnecessary things. The government has been defunding public education budgets, but there was never any noise about that?

Why were you okay with them cutting the budget for your child’s education, but not okay with cutting the budget for an institution whom are not using their funds to train effectively to deal with ALL walks of life?
