"c!techno taught pogtopia that the only universal language is violence."
no. that line was about c!techno recognizing something pogtopia was already aware of, something they already utilized. talking hadn't worked, his enemies forced his hand, his allies shunned him.

they taught him that lesson. c!techno had just learned that c!wilbur was going to blow up l’manberg, to make a spectacle out of it and leave him in the crossfire. when he proposed to talk things out with c!tommy, c!wilbur pressured both of them into a duel.
he’d proposed words, and they’d been denied. no one cared about words, bc actions speak louder. in the dsmp violence speaks volumes, no one negotiates without prior fighting. talking, stalling, waiting for your allies, none of it worked.
the pogtopians were former l’manbergians, how had they “won” the war? fighting, and then they lost, so more fighting (c!tommy and c!dream duel) and finally the exchange of items (c!tommy giving away the discs).
pogtopia didn’t need a lesson in violence, they were masters of it.
pogtopia didn’t need a lesson in violence, they were masters of it.
as much as people want to view pogtopia as this innocent revolutionary group, they were actively trying (they succeeded) in overthrowing a democratically elected president just bc they were unsatisfied with the results of the election and believed they owned l’manberg.
l’manberg wasn’t pogtopia’s. l’manberg wasn’t c!wilbur’s.
the difference between c!techno's and l'manberg's use of violence is that c!techno utilizes violence to somewhere down the line achieve peace, to eradicate tyranny. l'manberg used violence to gain (institutional) power, to maintain it, and to keep those in place who don't have it
what's more, during the pogtopia era, c!techno was only recruited bc of his combat prowess, under the vague banner of "take back l'manberg.". they summoned him for violence, and exclusively wanted him to perform acts of it as long as it benefited them.
the line: "the thing about this world, tommy, is that the only universal language is violence, we've had that conversation. we've spoken that language in the pit."
i didn't speak much on the red festival (execution) bc i already compiled the majority of my thoughts in this thread and i didn't want to reiterate myself: https://twitter.com/fieldofgrief/status/1376544549959565321?s=20
