The really really REALLY good news is that the vast majority of people from all ages, backgrounds and areas want their COVID vaccine.

The caveat is that, hesitancy is *relatively* high among young people https://trib.al/jqRTArq
This is because the virus is less dangerous for them, making it harder to ignore concerns about potential side-effects (such as extremely rare blood clots)

The hesitancy data is from pre-blood clot news so it's still unknown what impact that will have http://trib.al/jqRTArq
The getting better news is that hesitancy is dropping rapidly among all groups. That's awesome!

86% people who were hesitant in Dec. had changed their mind to be pro-vaccine by Feb. Young people shifted slightly slower http://trib.al/jqRTArq
But it doesn't mean vaccination rates will increase at the same time. Those from deprived areas and minority ethnic groups still have lower rates despite hesitancy falling.

That's why vaccine ACCESS is be the thing that policy makers should focus on http://trib.al/jqRTArq
Certain practical barriers may be preventing people from accessing vaccines. When it's their turn, similar barriers might also get in the way for young people.

We need to figure out what those barriers are and try to remove them to ensure everyone can get their jab
