Yes, I can. The pharma industry sees this as a dangerous precedent for them. They don't want to give an inch -- even if an inch is warranted -- they feel it will weaken their position in the future.

Pharma will always fight IP waivers--even if justified. But what that also..

..means is that you cannot expect any reasoned argument with them. At no point are they going to say "well, you know, given that it is a pandemic, maybe market forces are not going to cut it". Never gonna happen. But equally the release IP crowd never acknowledge the importance..

So you get these two sides of this debate having really ideological positions that are not always helpful in advancing debate IMO
