No govt is ever going to freely vaccinate 134cr people. No company is ever going to give it at 150/- for 134cr doses (unless fully paid for by govt).

Let more vaccines come.

Also the only reason we are even having this debate is because SII struck the deal and invested in mfg this vaccine. Before even govt paid them.

They were not the only vaccine mfgr here. They are a private co. No obligation to do this.

In my books @adarpoonawalla is a hero.

They still supply 90% of Indias vaccines and will be the SOLE reason we come out of this alive.

It is in our best interest that Govt continue to pay them & they make profit so they can reinvest in mfg units.

Covid doesnt end here. We will probably need vaccine annually

No tiger global or softbank funded our vaccine companies. We could have easily made 1 billion vaccines with half the funds our unicorns got this year.

It didn’t happen and SII stepped up. Took debt and invested early.
