Saving time as a designer is the next step to becoming a full-time freelancer (or respected employee)

I’m going to be giving the FREE tools I use every day to work faster (and make better work)

A thread.🧵
Many of you may be already familiar with some of these, so if you find 1 useful tool out of this, I’ll be thankful. (And please share if you did find use)
Unsplash

The queen of royalty-free photos. Meaning you can use any photo in any project and be safe from copyright.
Pexels

The princess of royalty-free content. If you’re looking for video, or can’t find what you’re looking for on Unsplash, Pexels is the place to go. Sometimes things can look stock though.
Adobe Color

Great when you’re wanting to explore what colors to choose or can’t find ones that work effectively together.

Uses color theory to generate the BEST colors for your projects, every time.
(my personal favorite) Pureref.
PureRef is a free downloadable tool that allows you to organize research and create mood boards at lightning speed. It allows you to drag and drop images you find online into a workspace.
For research.
(you probably know these so I’ll lump them together.)
Behance and Pinterest are great for generating ideas and building mood boards.

(I use these with Pureref)
Adobe Portfolio
Here’s a previous thread on why adobe portfolio is so useful https://twitter.com/DrewKMedia/status/1384854440184852483?s=20
Last but not least, Unblast

Elevate your design with mockups. One of many amazing websites that offer free mockups for pretty much everything you’d need.

Don’t limit yourself to Unblast.

Just google the mockup you’re looking for and find a (secure) website.
I highlight each of these tools more in detail in this video!

It would mean the world if you went and liked the video!

What tools am I missing?
