Thread. I worked remotely for a decade before the pandemic, and this very much tracks my experience. It allows for plenty of socializing - even beyond the ability to work outside your home. Before work, go to the gym or join a running club. After work, meet a friend for a drink or go hit some balls at the range or take your kid to those soccer practices you used to miss bc the Red Line broke down again. Plenty of options, bc you just magically gained 2hrs. đź‘Ť
Oh & then there's lunch, which is so often a chore in the Big City (lines, elevators, walks, dirty company kitchens, etc). Maybe you have cold chicken over the sink at home, but maybe you join a friend for a bite, go for a walk in your 'hood, or go eat at a bar & chat w randoms
