Non-Indigenous people who live in Robinson Huron and Robinson Superior territory: I know your world is busy, I know things are hard but TREATIES ARE IMPORTANT and SO many of you have said this SO many times. The Robinson Huron Treaty
communities are fighting for their treaty rights and you and I are fighting AGAINST them in court right now. We, as Ontario are fighting AGAINST the Robinson Huron Treaty. It's not OK to be overwhelmed and ignore this.
It's not OK to ignore the media releases of the Robinson Huron Treaty litigation group found at @1850RHTreaty. It's not OK to not read the beautifully presented history of this treaty and this litigation carefully curated for the non-specialist at https://www.robinsonhurontreaty1850.com/
It's not OK to not follow the Anishinabek who offer information and insight into the course of this fight: @PeterRecollet @DukePeltier @Inakonigaawin @Chief_S_McLeod - please folks put other social media promoters in comments
It's not OK to not read reporting about this in the @AnishinabekNews. This fight has been going on since 1851, it is in many ways a fight against US. This is a democracy - https://anishinabeknews.ca/2020/06/28/robinson-huron-treaty-leaders-and-beneficiaries-receive-favourable-judgement-in-annuities-case/
when the lawyers for "Ontario" say something you object to please remember they are speaking FOR YOU, FOR US. The first step in convincing our leaders to lay down arms, end the litigation and sit at a table and deal honourably with the Anishinabek
is learning the basic facts of the situation so that we can make our case.

Please do not say the words "Robinson Huron Treaty" in a land acknowledgement ever again until you learn how you personally are breaking it in the present day and do your part to stop.
