Ask a Bible Teacher
Q&A

I am a believer of the Bible
and I hear where people
become a believer and
instantly want to read
the Bible everyday, but
that did not happen to me.

I study it in a different way
by reading different books
on Bible prophecy and
going to different websites.

Is that wrong or does it
really matter where you get
your information about the Bible?

Answer to Question

While there is value in
studying the views of
different writers, we're
all just expressing our
opinions so what you're
getting is what we think
the Bible says.

cont
Acts 17:11 says you
should also study the
Bible yourself, to make
sure that our opinions
are an accurate reflection
of what it really says.
When you become a believer
the Holy Spirit was sealed
within you.
( Ephesians 1:13-14 )

One of the things He can
do is guide you into a
complete understanding
of God's word
( John 16:13 ).

But you have to be
willing to study to make
that happen.
In Romans 10:17 Paul wrote,
"Faith comes from hearing
the message, and the
message is heard through
the word of Christ ".

As you read the Bible, your
mind is hearing the
word of Christ direct
from the source and
receiving the faith building
message in its purest form.
