This week on @EKU #WhosWhoWednesday we meet Justin Hobbs who was a manager for @EKUHoops l team and got to go to two NCAA Tournaments, in 2005 and in 2007. Justin is a native of and resides in Owensboro, Kentucky and graduated from EKU in 2008 with a B.S in Sports Management.
Justin has worked for Brewco Marketing Group as a Program Director for the last 4.5 years. Brewco is an experiential marketing company that does over 4000 events a year at sporting events, festivals and concerts bringing their partners' experience directly to the consumer.
While a student, Justin was the head student manager for men’s basketball from 2003 to 2007. He was a part of the 2005 OVC Championship Team under Travis Ford and the 2007 OVC Championship under Jeff Neubauer.
When he’s not traveling for work he enjoys golfing, fishing and basically anything outside. He has been blessed to have jobs that have allowed him to travel and see things that he never thought he would have been able to do. He has been to 48 of the 50 States and to 11 countries.
Other family who attended EKU:
👪 None, that was one of the reasons why I attended EKU, my brother attended Murray State and I didn’t want to be known as Zach’s little brother. I wanted to go somewhere where I was forced to make new friends but still close enough to go home.
Favorite EKU Memory:
🏀 The 2005 OVC Championship game, Zach Ingles hitting a three-point shot to seal the win over APSU sticks in my head to this day. To see and be a part of something special at EKU was an amazing experience.

Favorite podcast listened to:
🎙️ The Dale Jr Download or The Joe Rogan Experience

Favorite pastime or hobby during quarantine:
🎮 I started playing IRacing, it’s a computer racing game. During a normal year I am traveling so much that I would have never had time to do this.
Important EKU relationship:
👨 Travis Ford was probably the most important relationship I had at EKU, if it wasn’t for him, I probably wouldn’t have graduated from EKU.

Favorite place on campus or in Richmond:
🌳 The Ravine and The Stoop in front of Dupree hall
Why did you choose EKU?
🏫 I visited EKU my senior year of high school because at the time I was thinking about doing something in the criminal justice field. I obviously went another direction in life, but I still think I made the right decision.
