The usual response to AFTV criticism is “you’re jealous”. Let’s say it right.

Robbie started to support Arsenal in the mid 80s, after following Luton Town until age 22. You see Luton references? That’s why.

Some others, questionable whether they were at AFC back in the day 1/11
I will say this. The channel started with good intentions.

There was a gap in the market and the concept of interviewing match going fans was decent. Gives a real insight of the club for fans abroad (or in Blackburn) who never go to games. 2/11
But when some cartoon style characters attracted clicks (equals ad revenue) a new model was born. Promote the clowns, shamelessly ignoring them making us a laughing stock, because you’re making cash. In turn clown regulars developed cringeworthy egos & inflated self worth 3/11
Over time in the quest for a pound note, souls have been sold. Fraternising with the head of a firm which murdered an Arsenal fan in the 1980s. Many Arsenal still grieve for JD, yet we have an Arsenal channel shouting about this former hooligan being a “legend” 4/11
Further £ came as part of a show which looked at racism on the terraces. Despite Arsenal being the most inclusive club, despite us never tolerating racism on the terraces, we were painted as unsafe - a place where he couldn’t take his dad. Unforgivable spin on your own club 5/11
On the flip side, clowns who contributed to the channels earnings were spouting racist content on social media. This was ignored & the people allowed to stay on the channel. The one instance where sponsors started to walk, that one individual was binned. Hypocritical much? 6/11
Confronted at an away game last season, the response was the lead man’s brother going on social media and accusing the critics of being “coked out racists”. More disgraceful lies about our fans, and disgracefully playing the race card as an easy way out of criticism 7/11
The channel has now become a monster, in more ways than one. Seen as the official voice of Arsenal by (clueless) media outlets, pally relationships with some (clueless) players, other players hating them (in turn being abused by the channel clowns regularly) 8/11
It has made a laughing stock of our club. One of our terrace chants was “fuck ‘em all”. At Arsenal it has always been a real ‘us vs them’ feel. As the song goes on to say, “We are The Arsenal, so fuck all the rest”. But then we get a channel turning us into a comedy show 9/11
The channel has bred a whole load of younger idiots who worship the circus & feel that’s Arsenal. An infestation of divs who don’t really support the club, they exist to post “banter” (😫) online which has made it ‘acceptable’ to dish online abuse as if it’s a joke. Scum. 10/11
So are critics “jealous”? No. Absolutely nowhere near.

“Remember who you are, what you are, and who you represent”

Really?

Where is Arsenal togetherness, where is the class in making us look like wankers to the outside world?

THAT is why the channel gets caned. 11/11
