3) During 1950s & 1960s, South Korea was impacted by civilian gun violence. During 1970s, guns were strictly regulated. The # of private guns in S. Korea has ⬇️ annually since 2007. 4) Japan has one of the lowest rates of gun crime in the world. In 2014 there were just 6 gun deaths, compared to 33,599 in the US. Why? 6) I live in one of the safest neighborhoods in the U.S. My neighbor thought guns would keep her safe but her son shot&killed her while she was sleeping then drove to Sandy Hook Elementary School to massacre 26 first graders & educators with assault weapons. #GunsDontMakeUsSafer
7) My good friends Mike Song @EthansLaw2 & @kristinsong3 know firsthand that #GunsDontMakeUsSafer. Their 15-year-old son Ethan was killed by an unsecured gun in their neighbor’s home. Now they are working to pass #EthansLaw to #KeepKidsSafe. #StopAsianHate #EndGunViolence
