Some thoughts after realising you’re neurodivergent:
maybe I’m not lazy,maybe it’s dopamine deficiency
I achieved that thing despite tricky wiring
that’s why they always laughed at me
hyperfocus is ace but I must remember to go for a wee
must stop being a git to myself

Info about assessments/tests: in many areas NHS diagnostic processes are on hold atm due to covid. It may also take a while to get assessed privately, but the Baron-Cohen online test is a good initial indicator of autism spectrum condition/disorder: https://psychology-tools.com/test/autism-spectrum-quotient
Here's an initial online test for ADHD. Neither of these tests are official diagnoses obviously, but they may help you understand certain behaviours or difficulties and help you decide whether to apply for NHS/private full assessments: https://www.clinical-partners.co.uk/for-adults/adult-adhd-add/test-for-adhd/adhd-test-results/results
Two utterly brilliant YouTube channels that can also help if you're wondering whether you may have ASD &/or ADHD are @Samantha_Stein's...: https://www.youtube.com/c/YoSamdySam/featured
and Jessica McCabe's @HowtoADHD: https://www.youtube.com/c/HowtoADHD/featured
I'd been wondering whether I may be on the autistic spectrum/may have ADHD for a year or two but only looked it in the eye properly during lockdown. Apologies if this thread causes any alarm or stress. Hopefully it may help a little if you've been wondering about this too.
