It's #NationalTeaDay so naturally, being the tea enthusiasts we are, we’ve put together a thread of our favourite tea related objects from our collection.

First is this delightful photo of the Temperance Society tea party at Bell Farm, Eton Wick in 1904.
Next up we have this large tin containing 2lb (900 g) of Brooke Bond Dividend Digestive Tea with a gas proof lid. It was issued to ARP staff during the Second World War. It was sealed on 28/8/1939 and cost 6 shillings and 6 pence (worth approx £12.79 in today's money).
This business card for J. Rubie & Son dates to 1861. They were a Grocers, Wine and Provision merchants who traded from 16 Peascod Street, Windsor.

In the 1861 census, Edward G Rubie listed himself as a 'Grocer & tea dealer'. No doubt his business sold a lot of tea!
And finally, we have a Christmas bauble and toy goat and cart (no, we haven’t forgotten this thread is about tea)
You see, these items were gifted to two local children by Queen Victoria in 1889 when they attended her special Christmas afternoon tea at Windsor Castle.
But why did Queen Victoria give them a bauble?
