It's clear the LFC board is missing a voice that "gets it".

John Henry says they are acting in the interest of the club but in reality they act in the interest of their shareholders.

I said last night their position is untenable and this morning it still feels that way.
The only way back I can see is by making a commitment to fan representation at board level.

Have someone on there who acts in our interests and can point out their blindspots.

It may be placing Tony Barrett or someone else in the club that may not have the big letters from US
Universities after their names but they do get it. It may be through SOS.

However it's done is of course much bigger than a series of tweets - but I can name dozens (and this isn't about plucking a random person off Twitter) of people that can hold their own, offer immense
value that would have had a different perspective here to the one that the shareholders held and pointed out their mistake early on.

There's people out there that can fill the boots that were so desperately missing in this instance (and £77 tickets).
No one is so parochial to want LFC to be ran by a bunch of lads in the upstairs of the Solly.

Everyone recognises we need the suits, the big sponsorships and the corporate stuff to compete. That's fine.

But this needs to be balanced with the very essence and values of our
football club which were so widely off the mark here.

If they want to rebuild the bridge make the commitment to act as much in the interest of the fans as the shareholders.

Place a representative on the board, commit to a manifesto that balances the corporate beast with a fair
deal for match going fans and maybe, just maybe, some good can come out of this sorry mess.

If there isn't a change like this I fear it will all just happen again. And no one wins in that case.
