Him: Which do you think is the most twisted verse of the Bible?
Me: almost every verse of the Bible is either misinterpreted with perception or twisted for personal gain.
Him: oh ok, which would you like to talk about?
Me: let me see, uhmm, oh ok, I remember one
Him: which?
1/2
Me: Mathew 28:19.
Him: really? That’s like one of the most clear verses of the Bible.
Me: yeah you’re right yet the easiest things tend to be the hardest thing for most people to do. Look around you, do people love? Trust? Give? or even tell the truth? People are usually not 2/3
able to do the easiest things of life but will go around searching for the hard ones. Take for example a Christian who claims to be a believer and is greedy will fast pray and even jump from one preacher to another seeking for some spiritual breakthrough but would never share 3/4
that which he has with his neighbor. How can such a person see the blessings before him?
Him: you have a point there, but tell me what you think about Mathew 28:19.
Me: oh sorry, before I’ll speak, first tell me what you know about the verse.
Him: the Bible says we should
4/5
make disciples of all nations. Isn’t that what it says?
Me: that’s exact statement is the problem of the verse. The actual verse didn’t say we should make disciples of all nation. It says we should “teach” all nations but some worldly versions of the Bible twist this verse to 5/6
deceive unsuspecting seekers of the truth and those worldly (false) prophets use this deception to cajole their followers.
Him: I don’t understand u.
Me: Yes, I know you may not understand me but I’ll explain.
Me: words carry meaning, the Bible is a book of words, this means 6/7
every word is relevant and if a word is changed, the context of that word changes too.
Him: ok? So?
Me: Jesus tells you to teach others what you’ve learned from him, he didn’t say you should make anyone a disciple.
Me: so how do you teach someone something you’ve learned? 7/8
Him: how?
Me: you teach someone something by practice, so to teach someone about the word you have to practice that word. Religious leaders do not practice the word but instead are in the business of making disciples and conforming others to their own identity instead of the
8/9
identity of Christ.
Him: I still don’t get.
Me: ok, I’m a fan of handiworks, I walk around mechanic and barbers shop and realize none of these people actually do any talking. They don’t instruct their apprentice on what to do, they just practice what they’ve learnt and the 9/10
apprentice learns from observing them. This is quite different from the doctrines of religion.
Me: Jesus was direct in what he was saying. First he said: learn from me, then he told those who have learned to teach and also said they’ll shine their light for others to see 10/11
he wasn’t talking about the practices we see in today’s religion.
Him: 🤔
Me: what you see in today’s religion is gods making disciples for themselves, these people aren’t teaching the Word.
Me: apostle Peter even mentioned this by telling us not to be as Lords over those 11/12
around us but be examples for them to learn from. 1 Peter 5:3. Religious leaders cannot do this, they’re like Kings in their spheres and u’ll see everyone around them falling head over hills at their commands. This isn’t what the Bible is talking about.
Him: I think u’re 12/13
unto something there.
Me: I know what I’m talking about, it’s right there in the scripture. I wish this thread can contain every scriptural references I can give but let me give you objective evidences to prove the rot in religion.
Me: there’s this pastor in my home country 13/14
