How the fans could kick the Glazers out of our club, a thread:
#GlazersOut
The past 48 hours have arguably been some of the most chaotic hours in football history. As the ludicrous ESL plans crumbled, we have seen the resignations of a few big names, one of them being Ed Woodward. #GlazersOut
Ed Woodward is one of the major culprits of the downfall of Manchester United in the last 8 years. He assisted the Glazers in purchasing our club with lots of leverage, and put our club in massive debt. #GlazersOut
His resignation has been a cause for celebration amongst United fans all around the world, and most importantly, the Glazers have lost their front-man, the mastermind behind their cancerous ownership. NOW is the time to strike. #GlazersOut
How do we strike? It is important that we approach this in the right way. We have seen plenty of ultimately unimpactful, embarrassing protests in the past that achieved little to nothing. That is why our every move must be ORGANISED and executed with INTENT. #GlazersOut
Yesterday we saw thousands of Chelsea fans block the entrance of Stamford Bridge in an attempt to get the attention of major figures at the club and force them out of their offices. This is exactly the type of protest that we United fans should be organising. #GlazersOut
If we were to theoretically protest outside of Old Trafford before EVERY home match in large numbers, and force the Glazers and other big figures out of their offices, we would be conveying our anger and dismay at their ownership in the most effective way possible. #GlazersOut
This kind of public humiliation would hurt the Glazers pockets, their image, and raise awareness of their unpopular ownership. This would make them even more uncomfortable, in an already uncomfortable position. We could bring them closer to selling than ever before! #GlazersOut
The kinds of measures I'm talking about taking could only be successful if a well-known, Manchester based, fan organisation organised it properly - such as @TraMUFC for example. At the end of the day, twitter hashtags and random screenshots won't be enough. #GlazersOut
Furthermore, if these kinds of protests were seen around the country, we could encourage action from thousands more, including the government, and maybe even ownership rule changes within the Premier League... #GlazersOut
For those who are unable to attend protests, stop buying merchandise, cancel your subscriptions, stop funding the Glazers, HURT their pockets. #GlazersOut
We the fans, love our club. It's about time we take it BACK.
RT to spread these ideas, time to get them OUT. #GlazersOut
