At Manchester United, winning isn't something you do once and move on. Winning is a culture. We do not lack trophies, what we've lacked in recent times is consistently getting them.

Mourinho and LVG did get trophies but their teams never looked dangerous after those trophies.. https://twitter.com/Letter_to_Jack/status/1384772461082841088
That's what Man United is about. Consistency and with Ole —despite the doubts a lot of people had in his early days (myself included) — we see that threat.

We see a team that needs reinforcement in very clear areas.

We see a team that's very very fit & can go into the latter...
...stages of competitions.

For Ole, losing some of those semifinals has been a case of hard luck.

Maybe half of them could have been handled better but Cup runs don't tell the entire story.
In one-legged Cup ties, a lose can't be corrected but in the league or a two-legged
tie, you can try to do that. That's how you measure progress.

To lose semifinals, you have to get there first and getting there as often as Ole those is a sign of progress.

And he's doing all these whilst actively competing in the league. For the first time in over 8 years...
...Man United are in an actual title race that feels somewhat achievable.
That's a competition that matters heavily.

Can he do better? Yes
Has he settled the club better than others? Yes.
On a personal note, when I started supporting United, there was so much unity in the squad. You could see players wanting to give all for the club, going beyond their limits for the club.

That went missing after Ferguson left.

Yes players do play for the money but this group...
...you can see the effort they put in even when the "talent" isn't enough.

Ole had Brandon Williams running his socks off for a whole season when Shaw was mostly injured and out of form but never talked down Shaw and hasn't talked down Williams now.
Daniel James might not be the best in the world but every time he's on the pitch, he's giving everything. He's getting knocked down and he won't stay down.

Football is a game of passion and no matter how much it evolves, that won't change. If it does, the sport dies.
Newcastle have supporters, Villa, Forest, they all do and have won the league too.

You think they want trophies over getting back to the top and competing regularly?
Once you're a regular competitor, trophies will come.

Stability brings progress. That's what City have done.
