I remember how small things such as a ribbon, or length of your kameez was enough to slut shame you. Punishments that were humiliating were rampant. Most of the teachers were judgmental to a toxic level.

Teaching is nothing without being aware about what damage your words can do to the lives that have been entrusted with you for learning. Kids watch and learn as well. And sometimes words hit like pots and pans, as Kamala Das said. I& #39;m sure my school scarred many lives this way.
