i have not stopped thinking about the correlation between queen swift's my tears ricohet and marvel. it makes sense. i will never hear that song and not think about infinity war and endgame. and it makes me even more emotional than the song already did. (a short thread)

for example, here are just a few of the lyrics. (not all after each other, but all in the song) 'you're the hero flying around, saving face' and 'we gather stones, never knowing what they'll mean' and 'when I'd fight, you used to tell me I was brave' and don't worry there's more.

more lyrics!! 'and I still talk to you when I'm screaming at the sky' and 'you had to kill me, but it killed you just the same' and 'and you're tossing out blame, drunk on this pain, crossing out the good years.' and this isn't even all but i will explain these ones.

to me these lyrics are all about marvel characters and realtionships between characters and tbh the storyline in infinity war and endgame. for example: she talks about gathering stones and not knowing what they mean which makes me think of infinity stones.

a lot of lyrics also remind me of peter and tony. she says 'ur the hero flying around' and 'when i fight you used to tell me i was brave' and 'i still talk to you when i scream at the sky' which makes me think of peters pov talking about tony after endgame which breaks my heart.

one specific one is when she says the line 'you had to kill me, but it killed you just the same' and this obivously makes me think of clint and nat (ik clint didn't kill her but you get the idea it's stilll quite accurate)

another one that doesn't fit quite as well but still works is 'and you're tossing out blame, drunk on this pain, crossing out the good years.' this makes me think about steve and tony, but also kind of anyone at the start of endgame during the blip.

that last one may seem like a bit of a stretch but idk to me it still works. and that's not even all of them, just a few examples. i don't think it's really about one specific character or moment, but about everyone and infinity war and endgame as a whole.

this song makes me extremely emotional, especially considering all of this. if you really listen to the lyrics while thinking about marvel, it works. everything works. and that is the only way i hear and i cry most of the time it is put on.
