$amc #amc $gme #gme 1/ Thread on preparing for liquidation (from squeeze). TL:DR as mentioned previously by me & many others...the DTCC and OCC are preparing for a large liquidation event because they see the squeeze coming (in other words they know some members will go bankrupt)
$amc #amc $gme #gme 2/ If you don't know, the OCC and DTCC esentially back our entire market (trillions of $ of transactions. OCC for options, futures, and FX, DTCC for stocks.
$amc #amc $gme #gme 3/ Both OCC & DTCC recently adjusted rules on what happens when a member goes bankrupt/defaults & how to liquidate their assets (sell them off). One of the primary changes is to increase the amount of companies who can join the auction for their assets
$amc #amc $gme #gme 4/ Shout out to @Brittan19865518 who caught an update today. The DTCC announced starting 4/26 they will test companies' ability to participate in such an auction. Link for the announcement https://www.dtcc.com/-/media/Files/pdf/2021/4/20/MBS977-21.pdf
$amc #amc $gme #gme 5/ Next up, keep an eye out 4 @live2beingu updating us on the new 007 rule which she teased & which will relate to all this. I always look forward 2 her deep dives. I took a look at the rule but don't want to steal thunder & she'd do a better job than I anyway
