While national eyes are on @ColumbusPolice because of the horrific slaying of 16 year old #makhiabryant let me remind you of recent events that demonstrate their irredeemably tyrannical, racist and violent nature. 
On Saturday night CPD went on a helicopter joy ride over Black neighborhoods and spelled CPD in cursive on their flight path. The night before, thousands of white Ohio State fans celebrated a practice football scrimmage by flipping and burning cars. Police did not come and no one was arrested.

In the last 5 years CPD has killed more than 30 people, most of whom were Black. #TyreKing was 13. #JuliusTate was 16. #AbdirahmanSalad was 15. #HenryGreen and #DonnaDalton were 23. Each story is horrific and each life was so loved, precious and valued.
#makhiabryant was a 16 yr old girl who should have had a chance to grow & flourish. The enduring trauma being inflicted on Black families is profoundly evil and rooted in white supremacist repression. CPD is tyrannical & this system cannot simply be reformed. #BlackLivesMatter
