Baltimore cops detain 8-year-olds on bicycles, fly choppers over youth protests, hold youth demonstrators in vans in 100-degree heat, charge kids as adults, surveil birthday parties. They’ve attacked children and they’ve killed children. Abolish the police.

More than that, we must dismantle the entire apparatus that attempts to legitimize injustice under the law, promote killer cops, cover up police murders, like in the case of Tyrone West, maliciously prosecute folks like Keith Davis, Jr., and suck taxpayers dry to fund all of it.

We spend our time hearing cops’ contempt for our neighbors out of their own mouths. We’ve heard them shoot people, beat folks, & excuse their own brutality on air. Cops murdering Ma’Khia Bryant in Columbus doesn’t feel far from here because we’re all nowhere until policing ends.
