ok the thread that no one asked for regarding my LASIK but supported me to do - there's some "geli" parts but i'll mark that earlier on in the tweet that has those https://twitter.com/MeowEleana/status/1384464904770383872
so i did my LASIK surgery on 8/4 so it's been 2 weeks of feeling overwhelmed in the morning and almost stabbing my eyes cause i keep trying to push my glasses up. also, i did this surgery after planning it since 2017. thats 4 years of waiting lmao
for 4 years, doctors have been monitoring my power (a stable power is crucial for the LASIK, my left eye was 750 and right 550 since 2015) they had to wait a few years so that my power wouldnt suddenly go back up. they told me to come back after i turned 21
so after i turned 21 + a few more months, my dad told me to go check. i did, and then had to perform some tests to see if i was a good candidate (eye pressure, astigmatism etc etc) the test itself took 2 hours. they even had to dilate my iris to check the inside of my eyes
they had to make sure i was not wearing contact lens 2 weeks before the surgery as that makes your eyes dry, and LASIK makes your eyes REALLY dry. i myself chose not to wear contacts, i only do twice a year, so it wasn't a problem for me
eyes dilated, and stomach empty, they told me i could proceed with lasik. i was allowed to choose a doctor (i didn't, i let them do it) and they gave me my appointment. no makeup 3 days before the surgery as well
they showed me how the surgery was done and as geli as i was, i agreed lmao. so 8th came and i was scared shitless, but my nurses and doctor was damn nice and they gave me a warm blanket
(1) ok WARNING: DO NOT CONTINUE IF U DONT LIKE MEDICAL STUFF
so the first procedure, after numbing my eyes, they opened my right eye and had a small cone go down on my eye. i couldnt feel it obviously. so the machine said "SUCTION ON" and the nurse counted down for 16 seconds
