Police body cam video is graphic and shows the shooting of Ma’Khia Bryant. Officer who shot Bryant keeps saying “she came at her with a knife.”

. @MayorGinther says based on the video ‘it is clear the officer took action to protect another young life.’

Director Ned Pettus Jr. offered sympathies to the family and said the situation will be fully investigated.

A couple things to note with this video. It was provided by CPD. It is a portion of the body camera footage - not all of it. Police said everything will be released tomorrow. Police explained the only editing was blurring faces of minors.
