Is someone going to tell her Paddington Bear is the story of a refugee (originally supposed to be from Africa) who is welcomed by British society and eventually makes his home there

Because so many people are @'ing with "Well actually he's from Peru" on this: Michael Bond, the author, originally wrote him as coming from Africa before he learned Africa didn't have bears. That's why I said "originally supposed to be from Africa". But thanks for the pedantry!
