Sharing some thoughts on the current situation in India.

First some positives
- Despite all the shortages - Testing, Oxygen, Hospital Beds, Remdesevir, you name it - the medical system in the big cities is really trying its best & its humbling to see! Deep respect & gratitude!

It does appear that those with the vaccine are largely able to fight off even this new strain - my friend's dad in his 90's seems to have recovered after having taken 1 shot - so reason to be optimistic
3/
This pandemic has brought out some bad behaviour - but most importantly the best behaviour and must help empathy of so many people. The last time around it was "someone else's" problem - this time it's OUR problem.
4/
One can never appreciate the pain many are going through from the outside - but for those wondering and running scared, please don't.

Frame of mind - POSITIVE
COVID Test result - NEGATIVE

...has got to be the mantra!
5/
For (tech) entrepreneurs - one month of business loss is not going to make a difference - sick colleagues and family members will. Speak to your investors and board members and make a strategic decision - not a time for bravado & seizing the moment with unnecessary risks!
6/
Instead focus on sharpening your tools, redo your sculpture cleverly - try & digitize anything repetitive that isn't yet. Look to restructure business agreements. Look to sharpen skills for team members. Step back and rethink the business & be ready to accelerate even faster
7/
Last but not least, spend some quality time for yourself, your family and encourage team members to do the same.
8/
Bake in the unexpected "start and stop" into your business plan - this is probably going to happen more often than we would like to believe - but if you plan for it in advance and make it a part of your Modus Operandi, it can be very simplifying to your mental health.
9/
Bottom line - it's a tough time, but it's also reality - the sooner we accept it, the easier it will be to cope with it.

Things will surely get better over time, but do hunker down & plan for a few tough months - this will not get resolved overnight.
