Can’t really sleep - so I decided to share some secrets about the MTC when asked. A thread follows henceforth:
Secret #1
I somehow ended up responsible for the design and build of the new Mission Control. Awesome project. So much work and effort. There is a small piece of treasure hidden in Mission Control that nobody has yet found. There’s also a map to the treasure elsewhere in MTC.

Secret #2
There are these long, white tunnels underground that you walk through as you enter. After a long race weekend working in Mission Control, someone may have brought in a drone (with goggles so that you could see from the drone’s point of view).

It was empty and safe and the drone got up to quite some speed when I had a go. At the end of each tunnel is a round white pillar that contains a lift. There’s a small nick in the pillar from when I wasn’t great at controlling the drone at speed. Ironic, the drone was Nick’s.
Secret #3
When there is a fire (or perhaps only during a serious fire alarm) the roof actually opens up. It’s perhaps not fully Thunderbirds style - but boy/girl is it cool! I’ve seen the roof open up once and experienced 1 fire and 1 flood.

Secret #4
Most areas of the building are (sensibly) protected through swipe access. And there are various bridges across the ‘fingers’/sections of the building. Unfortunately going for an explore at midnight one race weekend (was working for the Australian Grand Prix)...

... I may have gotten stuck on a bridge section that I could not swipe out of. 45 minutes later I was rescued by a passer-by.
