Please keep your cat indoors or build a catio, I beg you. This fella was brought in to our Centre in hopes it could be rescued. Unfortunately, had to be euthanized. This bird for all we know, was probably hunting to provide for its mate and young.

Share the post in whatever way you can and let your local city town hall pass a rule for this. Cats kill MILLIONS by the year. And it aches my heart whenever we get a phone call of a bird that’s been attacked by a feral/domestic cat. You’re cat does NOT belong in the wild!

The only way to really open ppl’s eyes about this, is to share graphic photos of the damage a cat can do to a wild animal. This bird is a full grown adult, several years old from the colour of its eyes, and its horrible how his end has come to. I bed you to plz spread awareness.

If you’re wondering what the injury prognosis is: broken wing at the Ulnare, and one leg completely ripped off, hanging by a thread of the tendon.
