During all this ESL this bullshit, it reminds me why I should always be grateful for my club. We've seen top clubs sell out their fans while our board even during the era of FC Hollywood, remained calm and cleared for us to continue to dream. How I became miasanmia [A thread]

Growing up in the U.S to Ghanaian and Ivorian parents , some would expect me to be a Chelsea fan because of Michael Essien. But the case was, I liked Manchester United because of a book about the career of David Beckham. Though, I didn't really like "soccer" much.

In 2010, somehow I lost interest in Manchester United and all football clubs because of the best World Cup I watched with my eyes though I only watched one game. That game was Ghana vs Uruguay in the QF. All Ghanaians/Africans know my pain as Asamoah Gyan missed the penalty

It really didn't hit me then because I didn't know the weight of that penalty. All I knew was that Ghana were out of the quarter finals. I later watched the highlights before the 2014 WC and to this day, the pain is still there . I also started hating Suarez from then on

During the 2014 WC, I fell in love with Germany. The first reason was that they played like a complete machine..not flashy but got the job done and because of their tall goal keeper who played like he owned the whole defensive half. The second reason being Ghana drew them 2-2

I also liked them so much because of Jerome Boateng and Kevin Prince Boateng. I was happy when I heard that he was half Ghanaian. I learned one day the reason why Germany never called Kevin Prince was because of the tackle on Ballack. Karma's a B* as KPB never succeeded for Ghana

After the World Cup, football became my favorite sport. I also realized that I wasn't so bad at it either. But, I didn't know what club to support. I only knew a couple of PL teams plus Barca and Real. I knew I didn't want to support none of those teams.

I asked one of my best friends what team he supported. He said Bayern Munich. I didn't even know who that club was and he explained that the team had Robben(one of my favorite players during the wc) and the best players on the WC winning team. (manu, thomas, gotze)

I asked him why he supported that team and he said that he watched Bayern destroy Barcelona (a team he hated) in a game and he fell in love. I later researched Bayern and stumbled on one of the underrated legends in the club: Samuel Kuffour. He also happened to be a Ghanaian

Since then, I always loved Bayern. I loved the players, the fans, the organizations and I hated any team or player who our supporters hate. You see, Bayern fits me. We hate Suarez, Real Madrid, Barcelona and other bozos. I hated the same people before I heard about Bayern

That's why I ride or die for this team and never for another club because we are miasanmia. Our board will never sell us out. We make sure no player is above the club. And even if we are FC Hollywood, we never shit on our Mentality.
