For whatever reasons people in Maryland and the surrounding areas, are turning horses loose into the wild. They are being hit by cars, found with broken legs, found starved or covered in cuts from running through the woods.

This young lady has started a rescue to take these horses in and rehabilitate them before they suffer these injuries, and to recover the horses already released. They have a good operation set up but are being overwhelmed by increase in abandoned horses.
All those western movies I& #39;ve seen never told me how expensive caring for horses is, especially ones that have been abused/neglected.
They have a vet who donated her time as much as

possible.

People have very kindly asked for an address to send donations. They only provide a physical address to person& #39;s they have built a relationship with. This is entirely a female run enterprise and people have caused trouble in the past.
They& #39;ve had a couple of stalkers

One of the ladies was attacked in the barn by a guy who showed up and said he wanted riding lessons for his daughter. Just some real scumbags out there. So they are cautious and I said I would help them as much as I could. This is "Z", he was abused and left locked in his stall to starve to death. He won& #39;t sleep indoors or go near a stall now.
