The idea that they took the abundance of computational power, figured out a way to reach consensus in a distributed fashion, and then used it to create scarcity is rather infuriating.

Like, every use of blockchain I can think of has nothing to do with money, and everything to do with coordinating resources to get them to people who need them most. Hacking it into currency is... certainly a choice.

Like, you can program an entire economy. There are no limits on what you can do do. And for some reason, they implement capitalism of all things?

I don't know. I have this issue where I think the tech is really cool, but I really don't like the community or the stuff they have built with said tech.
