Examples of how I supported Ss with CER online during this year: In Unit 1 we start with a class discussion and analyze a model unswear for CER. Then Ss use this scaffold/model to complete the rest of the task + use the evidence gathered in the learning sequences
In Unit 2 we keep practicing how to collect evidence to support an argument. This is an example of a final argument on how to prevent a future cholera outbreak
In Unit 6 Ss do not receive a model answer for CER. Instead, we focus on what makes evidence strong using the class discussion routine “Class Consensus List”. We generate a class list on the characteristics that make evidence strong or weak.
