ah taehyung...i'm beginning to realise that the reason his songs sound so personal yet comforting is because in his songs, it's him singing to himself. it's like overhearing the person in the apartment next to you hum to themselves at 4 am when you thought only you were awake..

and it's like... you hear him when you think only you were feeling these feelings, only you were awake to the loneliness of the world. and it's the comfort of companionship, without being 'Seen', without feeling like you're Asking someone to commiserate with you

and then the sun rises and you see it for yourself, and you know somewhere he sees it too, and you both don't have to see each other or bear each other's burdens. but you know you're not alone in this world.
