Hey so, I know *twitter drama, community drama, blah, blah, blah*, but I want to congratulate this rad community on speaking up internally, pushing for and learning how to enact positive internal changes to better us as individuals and as a community, and being willing to 1/5
start "drama" to do it. Yeah, it can be a shit show sometimes and yeah, sometimes we do it poorly on the path to learning how to do it well. But one of the things that really sets our community apart is the willingness to question one another. The willingness to do and say 2/5
uncomfortable things in the interest of Another Fucking Opportunity For Growth (my ethically non-monogamous peeps will get that). Groups who don't question one another, groups that don't have this kind of internal conflict, are the ones that stagnate, the ones that fall into 3/5
accepting and perpetuating the status quo. Groups like governmental agencies and anything with a "good ol' boys club"; PD's, public health, FD's (yeah, them too), fraternities, HOA's, military... you get the picture. 4/5
All this to say: fuck yeah, ya'll. I love you, I support you, thanks for starting shit here in the community so we call all learn, grow, and be better humans. I value you all. 5/5
