What the hell is going on over at Overwatch Blizzard? (THREAD)

There’s been a lot of frankly worriesome things happening at ActiBlizz the last few months, and I’d like to talk about them
Vicarious Visions, a studio with a massive history in gaming, that has fought for its name and place in the industry, just got absorbed by Blizzard after having made the Crash trilogy and Tony Hawk. Two amazing remake collections.
Lots of layoffs at Blizzard, but not only that, leader roles like Jeff Kaplan leaving the companies is worriesome at best, in reality it’s pretty scary in my opinion and could be hints at something bigger happening.
The company has seemed to have a lot of problems with projects as well. Blizzard games being in limbo, Activision pushing Blizzard to push out more games instead of focusing on support for available titles.

Even Call of Duty is struggling, with rumors of fighting between -
Studios, and internal problems and maybe even delays/less content at launch.

The most telling thing however, might just be:
Massive layoffs, while the leaders of the companies get huge bonuses, is perhaps the most telling problem and reason for a lot of the problems at the company. This affect the employees in a negative way, brings bad PR, and the morale has to be on an all time low
I’m scared since ActiBlizz holds two of my favorite IPs (Spyro and Crash) and I’m terrified for Beenox and Toys For Bob, as well as the IPs in question.

You can complain about EA, Ubi, or even Sony/MS/Ninty, but not one of them seem to have as much problems as ActiBlizz
”Uh we’re living through a pandemic” - YES, valid point. But I don’t see any other publisher struggling like this on all fronts right now
