Ego lies in the center of our consciousness. It gives us our sense of identity, the “I”. A healthy Ego allows us to confront our Shadow and acknowledge our Persona without identifying itself with them.

Maya, the “great illusion”, is a concept that Jung borrowed from Buddhism. He said that “Consciousness is Maya” since what we perceive may not be what’s real due to the “veil of Maya”.

I often write about how important Jimin’s character is in the BU, and I feel in MOTS storyline it’s the same. His song, Filter, is like a turning point since it connects with the Maya. Once the Maya, the filter, is lifted, then acceptance, self-love, and individuation follows.
