As the #txlege considers legislation to punish cities that #DefundPolice, the @ACLUTx did an analysis of past budgets ('08-'17) to see what cities would be affected.

*Arlington ↓ its budget in 2010, '12, and 13.
*Corpus Chrisi ↓ its budget in 2010, '12, '13, and '16.

*Garland ↓ in 2011, '13, and '15
*El Paso ↓ in 2010, '14, and by 10% in 2017
Houston ↓ in 2010, '11, '12, and '15

This is being done to punish Austin. But if it'd been in place over the last decade, *many* other cities would have been affected. In fact, over the period analyzed ('08-'17), Austin didn't ↓ its police budget once.
