The myths around Arsenal pushed by the media, have done a great job in making the every day casual fan think that Arsenal are a dead club. In reality, Super League or not, Arsenal are 1-2 years away from becoming one of the best teams in Europe. https://twitter.com/gunnerblog/status/1384168034424680452
Rival fans are not the concern. The media (AFTV included) have convinced every Arsenal fan to have an inferiority complex and a negative mindset. Nothing that the club does is good enough, and everyone must go, including ownership, board, coaching staff and players.
KSE enterprises have invested unprecedented amounts of cash into the club every since they took over full ownership of the club in 2018. They’ve done a great job in implementing a brilliant youth structure, hiring Per Mertesacker etc, that has resulted in ...
... an incredible u23 & u18 young core at the club, saving the clubs millions of pounds, and providing the fans with Hale End graduates, that they so much love. In terms of first team regime, they completely tore down the old Wenger/Gazidis regime, that was horrible for the...
... club in the last few years, and admittedly it took them quite long to finally settle down on one option (Edu/Arteta). On Arteta, they found a very well respected in the world of football, promising young coach, that despite bad results has managed to connect with the fans...
... and they have given him enough time to realise the project that he was tasked to carry out, despite external pressure to sack him. Furthermore, transfer deals have had a far higher success rate since summer 2018 than before, and have been improving every summer.
Whether Arteta is the one to guide this Arsenal team to glory, the foundation around him is super strong, and even if he is replaced, the new coach will have tons of tools to work with. Participation in the SL guarantees investment in the summer, as Arteta has promised all year.
Despite the poor league position this season, Arsenal are still 3 matches away from qualification to UCL (seems irrelevant now), and they have an extremely competent base to build around, clearing out tons of deadwood, and bringing in young talent.
As I said above, I don’t expect rival fans to understand and agree with all my points, due to the nature of rivalry in sports, but I would expect for once Arsenal fans to do their research and not buy in to every lazy narrative the media brainwashes you with.
Obviously, this was gonna generate some strong reaction, so I just wanna point out one thing:

Progression in sports is not linear. Just because Arsenal are 9th, it doesn’t mean they’ll finish 8th next year. Liverpool went from finishing with 75 points to 97 in one year.
