this might not reach many people but on march 17th a south asian woman, nafiah fatima, was attacked out of the blue with acid in front of her home in elmont, long island ny. she suffered burns all over her face, eyes, chest and caused her +

+ contact lenses to melt into her eyes. the acid burned her tongue and throat when she tried to scream. at this point her parents tried to help, however they also suffered burns on their hands and arms before calling the police.
