Body doubling! My ADHD didn't really stick out to me until I started going to school online during a pandemic. I would have such trouble getting started. I couldn't explain it. A friend offers to be on zoom, folding clothes while I studied AND IT WORKED! #ADHD
And then, "Oh shit, the store closes in 15 minutes! Can I make it?" #ADHD
You know the name of thing. You were thinking of the thing right before you needed to say it and then suddenly it evaporates from your mind? #ADHD
This kicked my ass for most of my life & I didn't react well. I wrote emo letters, lost friends, & tried to appeal to folks who did outright reject me. Even today, RSD likes to sink it's claws into me from time to time. These days, I just remove myself & distract my brain #ADHD
Caffeine will pep me up, but also make me cozy enough to fall asleep. #adhd

Yes, I just write my final paper. I do ask for edits and help, but I don't really understand writing a rough draft? I frequently tend to write out of order as well & will then put everything in it's right place. #ADHD
I would also sometimes do my test backwards to shake things up a bit and easy anxiety about time. #ADHD
Interesting points! Being distractible and inquisitive is necessary in many situations! Although I don't really have a problem with the word "disorder". I'm honestly not sure I know ANY NT folks. #ADHD
Just before the U.S. started doing lockdowns, I began online school for UX. The pandemic stress, my VERY toxic job, the lack of public places to study STALLED me. I took so many breaks & pauses that my 6 month program is ongoing It's when I started to 🤔 something was off #ADHD
Having trouble getting things done while alone, is a very common #ADHD thing. For this problem we need the solution of Body Doubling
or the Pomodoro Method. This has been really helpful for my studying and kicking ass at UX! #ADHD

I don't have meds for #ADHD (yet), but because the meds I do have need to be taken with food combined with the fact that I have to feed myself leads to a not so stellar track record. I do spend a lot of time laughing at myself 😂

I have the Inattentive type of #ADHD. College was extremely hard for me. I graduated with honors from high school without knowing how to study. It hadn't been necessary. asking for help felt like admitting I was a failure. I stayed in college much longer than I should have.

My most immediate needs regarding #ADHD is sleeping. I've been trying so hard to get to sleep at 11 to wake up at 8/9am, but it's so hard! I usually just stay up til I can't anymore and that happens to be around 2AM. Then I don't wake up til 10, then I have trouble getting up
I need a good night time routine. It's so hard to put my cellphone down! Maybe I can get back to reading? "My Night Routine for #ADHD 😴"
Oh, I really like his suggestions and I have bee preferring comic books/graphic novels recently! Gotta check out some the silicon ear plugs! Gonna build myself a sleep car package with lavender, ear plugs, tea, and comic books. Maybe a sunlight.
