KP3R is moving again, so I felt that this was appropriate...
A Chainlink Keep3r was deployed to main-net just a few days ago.
The contract consisted of some MASSIVE breadcrumbs for both $LINK and Keep3r.

Taking a look at the contract, youâll notice three things that pop out in particular
1. There are no credits for $LINK Keepers, like there are with Keep3r network
2. Job payments are done with the $LINK token
3. One parameter includes âpaymentPremiumPPB,â a premium in $LINK

What does this mean? It looks like Chainlink is bringing a whole new level of utility to their token via Keep3r...
With $LINK, users will soon have the option to outsource regular maintenance tasks (harvesting, liquidating, rebase, etc.) in a trust minimized manner

This however is not lot just limited to what has been listed above. Below is just a non-exhaustive of the many use cases made possible
-Providing price feeds
-Collecting harvests
-Flash liquidations
-Smart contract upgrades
-Executing options
-Calling a transaction
& much more!

Now, by comparing the $LINK Keep3r contract with the original Keep3r one, we are left with a big lingering question...
We know that Keep3r network requires you to add liquidity to get credit, but how does this work for Chainlink if their contract doesnât include any credits?

As you may have already assumed, it will be done by STAKING!
Nodes can earn $LINK by completing jobs, building a reputation backed bot network for DeFi
This is a tremendous step for $LINK, who is working to bring services that work beyond the blockchain
But it gets better...

In an announcement that got little attention from other people, $LINK announced their partnership with Keep3r network, helping them for a V2 launch...
In this message, we are offered some great insight for the future of Keep3r network and Chainlink Keepers. https://twitter.com/chainlink/status/1334212806229585920

Take a look at these images below very closely to grasp the implications of this concept to its fullest extent

Did you notice how they note that:
âexisting Keepers who have already performed a SUBSTANTIAL number of jobs become eligible to become Chainlink nodes...â
We can think of this feature kind of like a massive farm for $LINK node operators

The most competitive Keep3rs (who are simultaneously staking their KP3R on $SUSHI) will compete for the best paying jobs to potentially become $LINK node operators.
(& whatâs a better way to do this than by powering $SUSHI gas-less trades, limit orders, and Deriswap?

This information is further confirmed in an article from Chainlink themselves (stay with me on this one because itâs worth it):
âThe Chainlink Network has a working reputation system, with the performance metrics of nodes actively being recorded on-chain for over a year now...

This provides an immutable record of each nodeâs historical performance and is something we wanted to utilize for how Keepers are chosen for their role in maintaining key functions within the DeFi ecosystem.â
âWith their immutable record of completed jobs, these same Keepers can become eligible (reputation permitting) to upgrade their role from that of Keeper to that of Chainlink node operator.â
âAs Keepers upgrade to become node operators they will also transition to the use of LINK, migrating their payment and staking methods to LINK, providing the same strong cryptoeconomic guarantees that power all Chainlink oracles.â
âThe goal of becoming a Chainlink node operator will become infinitely more achievable. Any Keeper, of any standing, can transition from Keeper to Chainlink node operator by successfully completing Keeper jobs.â
â http://keep3r.network has just created what may turn out to be a key tool for scaling and growing the Chainlink networkâ
âThe significance of the collaboration between http://keep3r.network & Chainlink should not be underestimated. Increased reliability, security, number...

of jobs, type of jobs, and number of node operators has significant mutual benefits for both of these networks. This partnership is shaping up to be a significant game changer for the entire blockchain ecosystemâ
Now thatâs a big deal, donât you think?

Now thatâs a big deal, donât you think?

The bigger jobs (controlling hundreds of millions of dollars) will be executed by Chainlink Sybil-resistant, battle-tested, reputation backed node operators.
The importance of this should not be ignored.
Now this also brings me to the last point I wanted to touch on...

Letâs go over Open Zeppelin Defender:
Defender is OZâs flagship product, which serves as the all-in-one smart contract management interface
With Defender, you can easily create & run scripts in an environment that call on your smart contracts & other web services on a simple UI

It is already trust with hundreds of millions of dollars amongst the top protocols in DeFi.

Where does Keep3r & $LINK tie into this? Well, the features on Open Zeppelinâs Defender are powered by KP3R tokens on the network, & developer @smpalladino dropped some big news on Twitter recently
Using Defender Admin, Keepers will have very easy integration of Chainlink jobs

RECAP:
-Smart contracts on $ETH are very lazy & need automation
-Keep3r provides economic incentives for bot to execute jobs (transactions)
-Chainlink & Keep3r have a special synergy
-Chainlink will be releasing Keepers soon, with jobs from top Defi protocols paid in $LINK

-A few months ago $LINK announced a partnership with Keep3r
-Keep3r Network requires a bonding period for one to qualify for jobs
-Chainlink Keepers will introduce a new concept of staking the $LINK token
-Keepers will be rewarded in $LINK for executing transactions

TLDR; They both have some very big plans lined up
With $LINK, there will be thousands of new jobs on the network, all governed by the KP3R token
Keep3r will additionally earn fees for the treasury on some txâs...
