life gets so much better when you start watching bad movies without a critical lense

not every movie was made for Letterboxd or to be reviewed with some “eye for cinema”, some stuff was made to be entertaining and serves its purpose. you’re not supposed to score Paul Blart out of 100% on RT, you’re supposed to get stoned and watch it with friends

I firmly believe that Youtubers ruined a whole generation of people watching movies cause they’re always gonna expect something substantial or with perfect cinematography and that’s why y’all killed the 2000’s Chick Flick/Frat Bro movie genre.

all those good chick flick/weekend/buddy bro college comedies from the late 90’s and early 2000’s would be ripped to shreds today cause your expectations got too high. We won’t get another “New York Minute” Olsen twins-esc movie until ppl lower their standards
