I'm rewatching Bojack https://twitter.com/ruff_bluffs/status/906773275128352768
(This remains possibly the best show, animated or otherwise, of the last decade and you should watch it if you haven't already)
Hank After Dark is a fascinating episode to rewatch now given it was released two years before the Weinstein news broke. Goes to show how widespread - and well known in the industry - the stories of sexual abuse by powerful men in Hollywood were.
Oh my god. The New Mexico episode. It's brilliant but almost unwatchable TV. Even now I can basically only watch the final minutes through my hands.
Hank After Dark and Escape From LA are the kind of episodes that made Bojack such a unique show - a nominal comedy that goes to some very dark places, with a protagonist that isn't just occasionally unlikeable but sometimes actively loathsome. It's a tricky balance to pull off.
